1) Love Homeland. Anything with spies I sit and I analyze like I work for the CIA myself.
2) I do remember the politician.
3) I think the photos were real, but they indicated they were leaked on purpose for the sole reason of furthering Brody’s career, yes.
4) The VP *does* want him as a running mate for when the VP runs for President, but there are obvious complications now.
5) Tom Walker’s story is… well, complicated. I’m not sure if ‘turned’ is the right word. Or that we’ll ever see it. Remember, Brody thought Tom was dead.
6) … I have to ask what season/episode you’re on because things have been happening recently that kind of make some of these moot.

Now, Brody told Carrie that Isa was a guard he’d had that was nice to him.
Which means that he lied about that and he’s lied about other things (convincingly), and though he didn’t know Walker was alive — obviously, that makes his (Brody’s) part in this terror plot something else.
Walker is the sniper meant to take out the President. That’s what the visual from the house was for - and with Brody getting close to the Veep… with the President gone, that WOULD be a long game.
