NaNoWriMo: What Do?

This week: re-read last years novel.

So bummed that I lost 11k somewhere around Dec. 4th because… yeah, I have no idea what I’d said at the end during the mad dash for the finish and now I really have no desire to re-write eleven thousand words. But since I have a copy of the last EIGHT YEARS worth of NaNo novels?

I’m going to re-read the novel and either:

1) Tack on an epilogue with what should have/could have happened.
2) Actually try and write an ending all over again.

The goal is to have a printed copy in my hot little hands before THIS years NaNo. Why? Because otherwise I can’t concentrate. I’ve never NOT had a hardcopy of my previous year before November and it’s getting down to the wire.

Of the two options, what would YOU do?

Dear Tumblr Peeps —

I’ve come into some pretty new stationary (and city postcards) and I would very much love to spend the next few sunny days here in Seattle writing to all of you!

If you’d like to receive a little notecard with a ‘hey, have a great day!’ note inside, or a postcard from Seattle, or a quick letter talking about fandoms we have in common (scroll through my Tumblr and take a look at what I like if you want!), then drop me an ask and leave me your address, along with what you wanna hear about :D

Personal info on me so you don’t think I’m a total creeper:

My name’s Mary, I’m 34 and I live in Seattle. I have a 15 year old son and I love to write to people (you don’t have to write back), because I know the fun part of getting mail. :D

Reblog, share, post your own letter writing thing… It’ll be fun!

Happy Spring/almost Summer!

Since CreateSpace is being weird and douchey this year (and I’m not paying for a proof so I can have five useless copies of a novel that I’m not even sure that I like all that much), I decided to go back to Lulu.
They were originally the ones that did the ‘copy of your novel’ thing and I LIKE them. A lot.
Turns out? If you go to them and pay for shipping, they’ll send you a FREE COPY of your novel, anyway.
And? They do hardcovers, with or without a dust jacket. So, for 5 bucks, I got that shiny lil piece of work up there. And? AND? They’ll send you that free copy for ANY NEW WORK you do. That is a copy of my 2007 novel and I love it. I just transferred over my files to see how it worked and what would need tweaking and I have to say… for a rush job? I’m extremely pleased.
So, Lulu? You have my business. :D

Cannot wait, so excited. Have a general idea of what I’m doing and everything. Starbucks, caramel apple ciders, rainy nights of writing…
Year number EIGHT, baby!
